A not so lazy day

I woke up today with a very familiar feeling. A feeling that I have managed to elude for nearly a month now. It's that groggy feeling of not getting enough sleep. My brain is just whirling round and round and round and round and... I think you get the point. I have been sleeping so well during the holidays that I conveniently forgot that disturbing feeling of limited sleep.

You might be wondering why I didn't get enough sleep. What, you're not? Oh well, either way, I'm going to tell you. :P I had my SA shift today. I am working as a Systems Assistant at my university. SAs help students and staff with computer problems. Usually we work in the MMR (a computer room in the library) and the Information Systems Office (where we have to deal with equipment lending and reservation). But that's not all. SAs have many other responsibilities, too. Like working as teaching assistants in programming classes, taking on projects assigned by the Academic Office or dealing with Blackboard (online learning system used by APU) related stuff.

So, anyway, let's skip to the end of my shift. It was around 6:45 pm. I had to go to the Security Office to hand in an academic transcript left by a student in the MMR. I have never been there and I just vaguely had an idea of where it might be. So, I stopped and asked an office staff coming out of the building. She led me back inside and immediately to my right, there was a glass screen with a counter. I realized that this must be the Security Office. The sign at the left side of the counter confirmed it. I was about to thank her for showing me the place but she was already at the counter asking the officer where the Security Office was. Turned out she also didn't know. After that, I took comfort in finding out that I wasn't the only one. keke..

If you are an APU student reading this and you also don't know where the Security office is, it's inside the building in front of the Millenium Hall. :P

That's all for now.. :)

  1. Try to find the world map in APU. It is a cool place too.
I miss sitting and doing shits in APU's CAMAS, amphitheater.
Oh one more place I love in APU is underneath of library where you cannot your phone doesn't work and can feel like you are in your own world. (actually that was what I felt)
